Unconventional blends. You know, blends that aren’t conventional.

We like our wines to be different. Tastiness being the driving force behind winemaking decisions rather than conforming to a convention of what a wine should be or can be.

We could have said non classic blends but it didn’t quite have the same ring to it.

Classic blends, or you might even say traditional blends, are things like Merlot being blended with Cabernet Sauvignon or Cabernet Franc or even a ménage a trios. This is a classic Bordeaux blend because traditionally they have blended these varieties in the Bordeaux region of France. That’s for the reds, anyway. For the white wines it’s Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc.
