Pinot3 - Pink

Inspired after reading the book Wine Grapes, by Jancis Robinson et al., which indicates Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc are just mutants of the same grape variety Pinot. No other producer seemed to be making a blend of these three so we thought we'd give it a shot.

A wine made to be immediately enjoyable, interesting and affable that would feel equally at home either at the local boozer or amongst the Bloomsbury Set.

It's elegantly aromatic on the nose showing apricot, lemon peel, strawberry and subtle spice aromas. The palate delivers juicy fruit intensity with silky texture and refreshing acidity, making it immediately appealing and delightfully drinkable. The 2022 vintage (4*) is a blend of Pinot Gris (mostly), Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir. Pale pink, it is a very fresh and lively, medium-bodied wine, with strong peach and watermelon flavours, and a slightly spicy, dry finish.  www.michaelcooperwines.com
